The “EQUIPAL” is an important part of Central Mexico’s ancient Indians, they produced a kind of wood-and-leather furniture they called “icpalli” which means chair in Nahuatl.

The “EQUIPAL” has been the furniture of choice for upper-class Mexican society throughout Mexican history and can be found on many distinct Mexican properties as well as field houses.

The” EQUIPAL” was a symbol of power.

Most visitors to Mexico consider Colonial-style furniture as being “typically Mexican “.

This traditional and popular furniture is made from pigskin leather, called (flor), and rosewood handcrafted by Mexican artisans. The structure is crafted with Arizona Kidney wood (Palo Dulce) and the stakes are Rose Wood (Rosa Panal). The unions are bound with sturdy 'maguey fiber'.
